This weekend Ray had one of those silicone protector wrap thingies put on his phone. It came with a lifetime replacement warranty. All you need to do is bring in the receipt and the damaged wrap stuff and TA DA- new wrap thingy will be put on. Hmmmm, lets review... "Bring in the receipt".... ya, that means I have to put this (now valuable) scrap of paper in such a place as to find it again in the future.
Let me take a moment to explain the filing system currently in place. I think it would best be described with an analogy... visualize a salad.... picture yourself with a giant bowl... kiddie pool size, lets say...... okay, now you have 2 boat ores and you are tossing the giant leafy green salad in this monster salad bowl... okay do you see it?
Now, imagine that bowl is actually several very large cardboard boxes, and the leafy greens are actually important papers... you can keep the boat ores. Ya, it's that bad.

In an attempt to be more efficient at... well... life in general I have adopted a motto. I actually stole it from old Nike commercials.
JUST DO IT
ahhh, so simple, so applicable, so fitting.
Here are some scenarios:
Bills come in... (old habit) throw in pile that will eventually be shoved in a dark room when company comes over. (JUST DO IT) Look over bill, go on line and pay bill, file paper in file with other paid bills, throw away envelope, move on with our day.
Lost computer/camera cord again. (old habit) Spend hour digging for cord, use it, shove it somewhere and forget where it is- repeat. (JUST DO IT) Find ALL cords. Neatly coil and place in the drawer of the front room cabinet with like cords.
Ahhh, JUST DO IT! I love it!
(Don't worry, I wont get a Nike swoosh tattooed on my butt cheek or anything...)
