Simply not that simple

My to do list had 4 simple items on it today.

1) Post office

2) Grocery store

3) Shoe store

4) Bank

I completed 3.

I did all three with a soft voice and a smile.

I did all three with a grumpy baby.

I did all three with a five year old singing "Apples and Bananas" repeatedly.

I also made breakfast for said five year old, made the bed, did one load of laundry,

fed/ medicated the dogs, did dishes, changed clothes twice (baby boy, gap in diaper, pee on my lap- you get the idea), and changed a bazillion diapers. (he poops a lot.)

Such simple things-

Have become so much less simple.

Life is (un)simply wonderful.
