Ahh the smells of summer

I was out mowing the lawn this morning. I was enjoying the sounds of the rumbling mower and the chirping birds. I was admiring my sun burnt apple tree and its new growth signaling its possible survival. The lizards were lingering on the walls waiting for the drip system to quench their thirst. I took a deep breath- bringing in the delightful smell of fresh cut grass. Another deep breath- mower hits a fresh dog turd- almost barfed- went inside. Ahhh the smells of summer.
